Green week palermo
The partner event organized in Palermo during the EU Green Week 2025 will focus on sustainable micromobility, specifically highlighting the innovative retrofit of Amigo bicycles from muscle-powered to electrically-assisted vehicles, as developed within the LIFE2M project (Long Life to Micromobility).
The event, titled “Micromobility Retrofit Workshop: From Manual to Electric for a Sustainable Future,” aims to showcase practical and technological solutions to extend the life and enhance the sustainability of urban micromobility fleets. Participants will witness a live demonstration of the retrofit process, gaining insights into the environmental benefits of converting existing bicycle fleets to electric-assist models, thus reducing electronic waste, promoting resource efficiency, and supporting sustainable urban transport.
